Accommodation & Services
Peaks & Safaris Africa will ensure smooth operation of the safaris but is not liable for delays in departure or interruption of tour arrangements caused by, but not limited to, acts of God, strikes, or any other causes beyond the control of Peaks & Safaris Africa. We purchase the accommodations, restaurant services and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to Peaks & Safaris Africa' control. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. However, we ensure that the suppliers we contract have the licenses required under the laws of the land, and possess the required Health & Safety Certificates.
Every effort will be made to operate as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. Accommodation and arranged sightseeing activities are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Peaks and Safaris Africa' control.
Peaks and Safaris Africa' reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a passenger should such person's health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the trip or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other passengers, at his/her own expense. Participants who are disruptive or endanger the group or the travel experience, or break local laws may be removed from the tour with no refund due and at their own expense.
Taxes, Tips & Gratuities
All normal room taxes and service charges as levied by hotels are included. Gratuities are not included in the program’s price; these are at the guest's discretion. We advise that amounts as guideline and should be based on the level of satisfaction with the service received.
Specific requests such as adjacent or connecting rooms, bedding requests, smoking rooms and special dietary, early check –in/late check –out, needs should be advised at time of booking. Please note that every effort will be made to secure a special request, however, it cannot be guaranteed as is dependent on availability.
Prices and Arrangements
Quoted program prices include planning, handling and operational charges, and are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes. Peaks and Safaris Africa' reserves the right to increase program prices to cover increased costs, tariffs, taxes and V.A.T. received after prices are published, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.
In the event of written cancellation, the following forfeiture of program cost will be assessed based on the number of days prior to program departure that the cancellation was received:
60 -45 days prior 20% of the program cost
45-14 days prior 50% of the program cost
14 days or less 100% of the program cost
International airfares are not included in the program costs. Peaks and Safaris Africa' has special agreements with domestic airlines and can offer quotations from any gateway. Air fares are subject to change and availability at the time of reservation.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that all their visa and passport requirements are met. All travelers should be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond their entry date.
Visas may be required for most passport holders. However, it is suggested that you consult your local Consulate/Embassy on visa requirements. If required visa can be purchased online http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html.
Health regulations for some countries visited may require proof of inoculation and/or vaccination certificate; such certificates should be in your possession throughout the entire tour.
We strongly recommend that you purchase a travel insurance policy for the duration of your tour in case there are any unforeseen circumstances e.g. delayed luggage, cancellation of flights leading to loss of holiday time, loss of personal effects, medical expenses while on the tour, and other factors that may lead to the cancellation of your tour.
Rates & Fares
Unless otherwise indicated, all rates shown are in United States Dollars and are per person. Peaks and Safaris Africa' reserves the right to increase tour costs to cover any increase in Park Entrance Fees, Air Fares, Taxes, and fluctuations in foreign exchange currency.
