Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be received and transferred to Ahadi Lodge located just outside Arusha town.

Day 2
After breakfast, leave the lodge and head to the Shanga Shanga project for a guided tour before continuing your journey towards Tarangire national park, also known as the elephants' playground. Spend the day game driving in this park stopping at one of the picnic spots to enjoy your packed lunch.

Day 3
Start with a dawn game drive of the Tarangire National Park and return to the lodge for breakfast. Then slowly leave the park and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives of this very diverse park. If you are lucky you may see the famous tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until mid-afternoon – then slowly make your way out of the park and return to the camp.

Day 4
Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After breakfast, you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver-guide will advise on the best places to visit.

Day 5
Optional: Early morning head out for a Balloon flight. View the Serengeti plains from a hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast on the landing site.
A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetahs and lions use these giant rock outcrops as observation posts.

Day 6
Morning game drives of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the Karatu Highlands where you check-in at Ngorongoro Farm House for dinner and overnight.

Day 7
Morning transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total. Leave the crater mid-afternoon and transfer back to the Ngorongoro Farmhouse.

Day 8
Leisurely breakfast. Drive back to Arusha with a packed lunch in time for your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. On arrival transfer to Stone Town.

Day 9
12noon transfer from Stone Town to your beach accommodation.

Day 10 - 11
Days at leisure.

Day 12
After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar Airport in time for your departing international flight, end of services.
